Silk tafetta, white

Description

Silk Tafetta is a tabby weave fabric that give a slightly stiff feeling. Silk Tafetta kan be used for many different garments, like jackets, skirts and wedding dresses, but also as lining. The vikings imported silk to scandinavia which can be seen from many findings from example Birka, Sweden. Silk is also used during the middle ages by the church and the wealthy. A quality called Cendal, is mentioned in texts from 13:th Century as tafetta like in quality.
