This is our full-size paper pattern with complete instructions and historical notes for 15th century Commonwoman’s Kirtle with long (A) or short (B) sleeves and pin-on Sleeves. Fits busts 30½”-48″ (75-120 cm) and waists 23″-41″ (58-105 cm). All Sizes in one envelope. Historical notes and embellishment suggestions included.

light weight to coat weight wool
light linen for lining

Yardage Requirements:
Gown: 6 yds 45″ or 4½ yds 60″ wide (6 meter 120 cm wide, or 4,5 meter 150 cm wide)
Lining (optional): 6 yds 45” or 4½ yds 60” wide (6 meter 120 cm wide, or 4,5 meter 150 cm wide)
Sleeves 2 yds at least 45” wide (2 meter at least 120 cm wide)
