Description
This is our full-size paper pattern with complete instructions and historical notes for 14th century Sideless Surcote. Worn over the tightly-fitted kirtle, this is the overdress Church elders called “The Gates of Hell” because it revealed a woman’s curves through its side openings.
Fits busts 30½”-48″ (75-120 cm) and waists 23″-41″ (58-105 cm). All Sizes in one envelope. Historical notes and embellishment suggestions included.

light linen, silk or fur for lining
Yardage Requirements:
3 yds 45″ or 2 yds 60″ wide (3 meter 120 cm wide or 2 meter 150 cm wide)
